Entries will only be accepted from Professional/Assistants/Trainees who are members of the S.P.G.U. 

To win prize money they all must comply with SPGU Rule 4(f), or have joined within the last 12 months. Professionals/Assistants/Trainees, who do not? Comply with the above, may enter the Tournaments and win the Trophies, but they will not be eligible to win prize money.

(Please note* that in The Bill Watts Trophy, after 18 holes there will be a cut off with the top 25 and ties going through to the next day, and in the OPEN 25/30 (according to the size of field) and Ties will go through to the next day)

AMATEUR ENTRY RULES AND CONDITIONS

36 HOLES OVER TWO DAYS SCRATCH MEDAL FOR SILVER CHALLENGE CUP FOR LEADING AMATEUR, TO BE HELD FOR ONE YEAR BY THE WINNER.

THERE WILL BE NO LIMIT TO ENTRIES FOR 18 HOLES PLAYED ON THURSDAY  AND THE LEADING 30/36 ACCORDING TO SIZE OF FIELD WILL PLAY THE FINAL 18 HOLES ON .

THE EVENT IS SPONSORED By Frank Shannon - THE SUSSEX PAD HOTEL, PRIZE VOUCHERS FOR THE AMATEURS.

QUALIFICATION

THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS OPEN TO  AMATEUR GOLFERS, INCLUDING ARTISANS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF SUSSEX GOLF CLUBS, WHICH ARE AFFILIATED TO THE S.C.G.U., WHO ARE QUALIFIED UNDER UNION RULES AND HAVE A HANDICAP OF 5 AND BELOW AT THE DATE OF ENTRY.

A TIE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE DECIDED BY A ‘SUDDEN DEATH’ PLAY OFF.
